NASA'S ONGOING AND PLANNED PROJECTS

  3. Lucy: The Lucy mission is an upcoming space probe that will study the Trojan asteroids associated with Jupiter. It will explore several asteroids in the Jupiter Trojan population, providing insights into the early history of our solar system. The launch of Lucy is planned for October 2021 (after my knowledge cutoff).

  4. Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover: The Mars Perseverance Rover was launched in July 2020 and successfully landed on Mars in February 2021. It is designed to explore Mars' geology, search for signs of ancient life, and collect samples for potential return to Earth in the future.

WFIRST is expected to launch in the mid-2020s.


6. New Horizons: Launched in 2006, the New Horizons spacecraft conducted a historic flyby of Pluto in 2015, providing the first detailed images and scientific data of the dwarf planet. Following its Pluto encounter, New Horizons continued its journey into the Kuiper Belt, where it flew by the object Arrokoth in 2019, providing insights into the early solar system.
